A plan for two days
Forty-eight hours, alternating sun and lamplight
This plan uses only opening hours the venues publish. It assumes you arrive in the morning and leave on the third day at 11am. Swap pieces freely.
Day one
- Morning. Drop your bags at reception; the hotel holds them until your room is ready (check-in is from 3pm). Coffee in G&Tea in the lobby, open from 7am.
- Late morning. L1 light rail from The Star stop to Wentworth Park, 400 metres from the Sydney Fish Market, which opens at 7am.
- Lunch. Eat at the market. Its own page says individual traders keep their own hours, so look before you queue.
- 3pm. Back at the hotel for check-in. The Level 5 pool is open until 9pm.
- 5pm. Dinner on Harbourside. Rumble is the pre-show specialist; Cucina Porto opens at 5pm every night of the week.
- Evening. A show at the Sydney Lyric or the Event Centre. From 14 November 2026 that could be A Beautiful Noise.
- After the show. A walk across Pyrmont Bridge and back, then bed. If you are still hungry, Fat Noodle is open all night (18+, on the gaming floor).
Day two
- 6am. The pool and gym open. On a clear morning this is the quietest hour in the complex.
- Breakfast. Harvest Buffet on Level 1 from 7am, or G&Tea's all-day breakfast menu until 3pm.
- 10am. The Australian National Maritime Museum opens; it is at 2 Murray Street, at the Pyrmont end of the bridge. Last vessel boarding is at 3:10pm.
- Lunch. Eat Ozzo on Harbourside, open from 7am, or a picnic in Pirrama Park.
- Afternoon. A treatment at The Darling Spa next door. Book at least 48 hours ahead; on your booking day you can also use the spa's steam room, Jacuzzi and The Darling's outdoor pool on Level 5.
- Evening. Sokyo for dinner (daily from 5pm) or BLACK Bar & Grill (Wednesday to Sunday). On a Friday, cross the bridge to Latin Nights at Palm Grove.
Morning three
Check-out is 11am, and express check-out saves the queue. If you booked a package with a 12pm check-out, you have time for one last swim.
By day
The plan front-loads daylight on day one because the light rail and the market are at their best in the morning.
Day two is slower, built around the museum's 10am opening and the spa.
By night
Both evenings stay inside walking distance: a show on one night, a long dinner on the other.
If you are a light sleeper, consider the quieter parts of the evening: the lobby bar closes at 8pm and the water is close by.
