Driving in: which entrance, how high, and what it costs
If you bring a car, you are dealing with The Star's own car park. These are its published rules and prices as listed on 1 November 2026.

Some hotel packages include parking. In spring 2026 The Star listed a 'Park, Stay, Relax' package with one self-parking space per day and a single entry; the Seniors Card offer includes complimentary self-parking. See packages.

- Daily maximum: $85. A lost ticket is charged the daily maximum.
- Each further six hours is charged as a new period.
- Motorbikes: $7 flat rate per 24 hours, in dedicated areas.

By day
Coming for the day, the car park is simple: in from Pirrama Road, out the same way. The fish market at Blackwattle Bay has its own parking, with a weekday rule of free entry after 3pm if you leave by 5pm, according to its website.
If you can, leave the car parked and use the L1 light rail for the market and the city.
By night
For a theatre night, the Sydney Lyric points patrons to a discounted rate at Harbourside Car Park, 5 to 10 minutes' walk away: $16 from 1 November 2026, not valid overnight. Hotel guests are better off with the $50 hotel rate.
Late arrivals: the hotel's own Pyrmont Street entrance has the rideshare zone, so a driver can drop you at the door.
Getting there by road
Use the route link below from wherever you start; it ends at the hotel's registered address. For a step-free drop-off at the theatre side, the Lyric recommends the Harbourside entrance on Pirrama Road.
