Eating at The Star: a day menu and a night menu
The complex holds two signature restaurants, a handful of casual ones, a buffet, a lobby tea house and a food court. What matters is which of them are open when you are hungry.
Hours below come from each venue's own page on star.com.au and were read on 1 November 2026. Venues change their hours often, especially around public holidays, so check before you plan an evening around one of them.

BLACK Bar & Grill · Harbourside

Cucina Porto · Harbourside

By day
If you are out exploring all day, eat breakfast in the hotel lobby and lunch at the fish market, then come back for dinner. The Star's casual options are useful mainly when the weather turns.
Families do well at Harvest Buffet: the choice is wide, and the hours run all day.
By night
Show nights need planning. Sokyo and BLACK both run early-evening sittings from 5pm on weekends, and Rumble describes itself as the place for a pre-show meal.
After the show, the options narrow to what stays open late: Fat Noodle and the Sports Bar, which the complex says are open 24/7.
Open all night
Two venues on the main gaming floor never close, according to The Star. Fat Noodle serves chef Luke Nguyen's Southeast Asian street food 24 hours a day, from laksa to pho, with an overnight menu. The Sports Bar shows live sport on big screens around the clock and serves pub food. Both sit on the gaming floor, so they are 18+ and the casino's entry conditions apply.
Celebrating something
Sokyo, BLACK and Cucina Porto take group bookings for birthdays and anniversaries; The Star's celebrations enquiry asks for at least eight guests, and bookings for 12 or more go through that route. See groups and celebrations.
A note on prices
Venues list their own set menus and specials, and those change with the season. One example from 1 November 2026: Sokyo's seven-course sushi counter experience was listed at $215 per person. Weekend and public-holiday surcharges apply at several restaurants (10% on Sundays and 15% on public holidays at Sokyo and BLACK, as listed).
The Star's venues practise the responsible service of alcohol. Bars inside the gaming areas are for guests aged 18 and over.
