Royal Suites: two levels, a kitchen and the harbour
These are the only rooms in the hotel with a published floor area: 146 square metres, spread over two levels, overlooking the harbour and the city skyline.
The hotel's description is brief: self-contained duplex suites, each of 146 m², with a kitchen, a drawing room and 'spacious bathrooms', overlooking Sydney Harbour and the skyline. It does not say how many there are, which floors they sit on, or how the bedrooms are arranged.

By day
With a kitchen and a drawing room, the day can start slowly: breakfast from the fish market, eaten at your own table with the harbour in the window.
For a family visit, a duplex keeps the sleeping level separate from the living level.
By night
This is the category for hosting. A drawing room and kitchen let you bring the evening upstairs after dinner at Sokyo or BLACK.
Remember the no-party policy: the hotel asks guests not to disturb others, and a suite does not change that.
Before you ask for one
Because the hotel publishes so little about the Royal Suites, the useful thing we can do is ask the questions for you. Put in your notes how many people will sleep there, whether you need twin beds anywhere, and whether the kitchen matters. We will come back with what reservations tells us, not with guesses.
Alternatives
The two Penthouses are the only bigger option in the hotel, with a sauna and a spa bath. For a group that needs three separate bedrooms, the Three Bedroom Darling Harbour View Suite in the residences is a different, more practical shape.
